July 18 Eastlake primary election forum

EASTLAKE PRIMARY ELECTION FORUM
TUESDAY, JULY 18, 2017 – 7 P.M. TO 9:30 P.M.
AT THE POCOCK ROWING CENTER, 3320 FUHRMAN AVE. E.
IN SEATTLE’S EASTLAKE NEIGHBORHOOD
[LOCATION IS NEAR SW CORNER OF UNIVERSITY BRIDGE; PARKING IS ON STREET]

This forum focuses only on the races for Mayor and for City Council positions 8 and 9 (additional races will be covered in an Oct. 3 general election forum). These are all citywide offices (no City Council district positions are up for election this year). As there are other candidate events going on this same night, we are scheduling the various candidates as they are available, rather than confining their race to one part of the agenda. Candidates are requested to contact ECC at info@eastlakeseattle.org regarding their scheduling needs.

Ground rules: Each candidate has two minutes for an introductory statement, gives one-minute answers to questions, and has a one minute concluding statement. Only the candidates themselves (not surrogates) may speak on their behalf.

Moderation is by neighborhood volunteers. Audience members are encouraged to submit questions on the forms provided; these will be read by the moderators. Thanks for being part of democracy in action!

Sponsorship This event is organized as a public service by the Eastlake Community Council, an all-volunteer organization founded in 1971. About ECC and how to help make and keep Eastlake a great place to live, work, and play, see the ECC web site at http://eastlakeseattle.org, or contact ECC at info@eastlakeseattle.org.
