Background on East Howe Steps Plaza (EHSP)

On Wed, March 3 at 9:30 AM the Transportation and Utility Committee will consider the request to grant special parking arrangements on the unopened right-of-way at the end of Howe Street and Fairview. The result will be the ability to proceed with the construction of EHSP.
The project has been in the works for several years. There has been a public meeting, a presentation to the ECC board and an article in the Eastlake News. This project will be a desired addition to Eastlake providing a pleasant place to pause whether walking or biking and will enhance the pedestrian connection to Eastlake Ave.
