ECC has received information about July 4th events from Seafair (https://www.seafair.org); the below information is adapted/summarized to give information about firework location and timing:

Seafair Summer Fourth

Monday, July 4, 2022
3:00PM – Event Open/Gates (Gas Works / Lake Union Park)
10:20PM – Fireworks (18-minute show)
11:00PM – Event End (Gas Works / Lake Union Park)
11:30PM – Venue Closure (Gas Works / Lake Union Park)

Fireworks Barge Movements

• July 2 – Fireworks show infrastructure set up. Fireworks from DOT approved truck loaded into certified ammunition containers onto fireworks barge. Fireworks will not be removed from their DOT approved packaging.

• July 3 – Early AM: Barge with fireworks travels via tug to Lake Union and is placed in firing location, same location as prior years. 24-hour security on barge.

• July 4 – In partnership with SPD Harbor Patrol, Seafair Volunteers to secure area around barge. Harbor Patrol takes over lake at 6 pm.

• Support from Aux Coast Guard requested for exclusion zone security.

• Exclusion zone to remain hot for up to an hour post-show until SFD gives go-ahead.

• July 4/5 – 11:00PM-12:00AM: Barge clean up post event.
