Mary Kate Smith

Mary Kate Smith moved to Eastlake in 2017, after living in Bellevue since 2003. She is originally from the East Coast where she earned degrees in International Relations and City Planning and Public Policy. She has worked as a research associate at a Washington DC think tank; Community Planner at a small agency in the federal Commerce Department; Program Developer, volunteer, and Executive Director for several affordable housing- related nonprofits; and, finally, after a 10-year hiatus to raise 3 children, as the Registrar for a public middle school in Bellevue. Mary Kate plans to make Eastlake her forever home.
